Owner RenalSouth LLC has applied to demolish this bracketed double shotgun to be replaced with a parking lot for existing dialysis clinic (current parking is not adequate to meet zoning requirements, according to application). There was trash along the fence of their current parking lots which were almost empty on the afternoon we took the photos. The need for this parking lot should be justified prior to any approval. The house is in very good shape in general.

This is a Private Demo I am posting to round out our library. We noticed the telltale spraypaint markings a week ago and today we got the early morning call of it’s demise. The photos on Flickr narrate the facts gathered at the scene. The owners of the building next door have acquired the lot and will expand their building. The building behind the Dunkin Donuts will also be demolished but it must first be cut away from it’s parent building, a much older structure. It’s certainly in a high-profile area of the Lower Garden District.

Format Citation for Demolition By Neglect

This bar, the Red Room at Esplanade and Claiborne, is becoming a nuisance for the police/residents lately. They need their liquor license yanked. This doesn’t have anything to do with the HDLC’s citation. I’m just sayin . . . Click here for more photos.
