The City issued a demolition permit for this building under the Mayors Executive order.

UPDATE

According to the City’s department of Safety and Permits, this is a permit to finish the demolition of the building started in 2005. This permit authorized the removal of the remaining pile caps and underground features so that the BioInnovation center can be built

    This must be the last 19th century building standing in that section of Canal above Rampart. It has great cast iron details. Structure appears sound. It’s not at all in “Imminent Danger of Collapse.” And no historic review? That’s criminal.

    That is such a fabulous old building! How can they just tear it down??!

    i think the building is nice looking but it looks like it can collaspes in any min
