Is this Process Fixed? And who is in charge?

August 28th, 2007 by Karen Gadbois · 2 Comments

I have been trying to find out who the new point person is since the Office of Recovery Managment led by Dr. Blakely has taken over the demolition process.

At this point in time I have been unable to find the point person and have been bounced back to Code Enforcement, the department which is understaffed and in need of assistance.

Today I saw this house with an official DO NOT DEMOLISH sticker issued by the City.

Official do not Demolish List

More questions..fewer answers..

Interesting side note about the number of demolitions.

No one will ever be in charge. . . If you read our illustrious history we even change governments and no one acknowledges it for years (Spanish/French transitions). . . look, it’s the way they operate down here and proud of it. It’s your mentality. It’s how we do things ‘down here’. No man’s land. You’re in charge. SHhhh.
