This Creole cottage is listed on the PRC “Actively For Sale” page as SOLD. It displays a construction permit dated 11/23/04. It may have barge board construction (I’m still an amateur at spotting it), and has a partially collapsed brick fireplace. There is flood debris in one half of the house.

Wow, this is a great house, I am a fan of the Creole Cottage. Are they using the door for a ramp? God! Looks like bargeboard lower left side, the vertical boards. But can’t be positive from here. Nice photo. Thanks!

Yeah, the door (or a door, dunno where it came from) is the ramp. If you click on the photo it takes you to the entire set, with some more pictures of the possible barge board and also a shot of the center chimney and fireplaces. It’s kind of odd inside. The left side is completely cleared and there is a little bit of relatively new 2×4 framing that is sort of half-installed there, while the right side has about a foot deep pile of what looks like flood debris and moldy clothing and bedding. Maybe there were squatters here at some point? Hard to tell. The lot itself is huge compared to the house.
